I at the launch party for 'Shut up and Listen' organised by learning disability charity Carousel and supported by Cofacio and Legal and General.
Carousel is helping people with learning disabilities to get involved in music and radio. The results are heartneing.
The song the band (Beat Express) are currently playing, seems to be urging us to "get up and get on" - this lot certainly have done just that, despite their difficulties.
I'm not surprised to see that the people here have achieved a lot despite their disabilities. The level of enthusiasm and their will to get things done would put many of us to shame. And shame is the right word.
Now what's your excuse for under-achieving again?
